· Fundamental golf skills (grip, stance, posture, ball position, aim, putting, chipping and full-swing with irons and woods)
· Life Skills & Values (How to introduce themselves, set goals, role playing, Honesty, Integrity, etc)
· USGA rules and etiquette of the game
New this year! We are improving the program with new classes and certification processes. Some new classes being offered are: Science of Golf, Beginner Par, Bogey1&2, Birdie1&2, Par 1 & Par 2 Golf Camps and Birdie 1 & Birdie 2 Golf Camps. We are implementing The First Tee certification process to help provide better feed back to juniors as they grow and learn as well as provide more structure to the progression of class levels. To learn more please visit www.thefirstteestpaul.org.
Camps are longer in time than the regular lessons and are designed to get the juniors on the course.

We offer a mentor program at The First Tee of St. Paul. Mentoring younger juniors by helping with lessons is a great way to give back to the community. It is a wonderful way to learn more about golf. It also looks good on a resume or college application. The First Tee National has college scholarships available for juniors who go through The First Tee program and mentor. Your time with us could lead to a part time summer job next year as an Assistant Coach. Additional benefits to mentoring are hitting free range balls and receiving golf tips from instructors after classes once you reach a minimum number of hours as a mentor. If you are 13-18 years old, are a Birdie certifying participant and would like to become a mentor please contact The First Tee Staff. More information can be found online at www.thefirstteestpaul.org.
Pavilion on the
The First Tee of Saint Paul has received a matching donation to build a pavilion shelter at the Highland Driving Range that would offer a safe shelter for the juniors during poor weather conditions, a classroom type area for a better atmosphere to teach the Life Skills portion of the program as well as shelter for the juniors to practice/hit balls underneath when weather is poor. Donations will receive recognition on-site at the new pavilion. For more information please contact Brian at 612-834-0408 or Brian@thefirstteestpaul.org.
